Job description

Primary function of the Hostess is to guarantee the smooth operation of the restaurant and ensure that our guests receive superb service. Controls the flow of guests into the restaurant and seats them.
Professional attire or uniform as required
Greet and communicate with the guests in a friendly, courteous manner;
Upon arriving check with supervisor for section assignments;
Check reservation book (from VIP) and check phone messages for reservations;
Make a sheet for the night's reservation, note any special requests, such as specific server, birthday, anniversary, etc.;
Keep a sheet of seating's; # in party, name and time they are seated;
Notify supervisor of any large parties that need to be set up;
Procure any necessary comps, verify amounts;
As time permits, cruise through the dining room, look for anything that may need attention from the servers;
Other reasonable duties as assigned.
