Civil/LA Site/Land Development Project Manager

We have a career opportunity for a Civil/LA site/land development project manager with a proven track record of successfully managing a broad range of projects. In this role you will both self-perform and direct project teams in the planning and design of civil site/land development projects, as well as play an important role in managing client relationships. You will also contribute to strategic initiatives that drive the growth of the civil site/land development group.

Location

This position will have a hybrid work schedule and, when in the office, will work from our Glastonbury, CT office.

The Impact You Will Have
  • Manage multiple, concurrent civil site/land development projects for municipal, public, and private clients
  • Establish project goals and milestones, define responsibilities, coordinate resources, and monitor project progress
  • Provide direct supervision and overall leadership for assigned projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and client needs
  • Assume ownership of project financials, optimizing resource allocation and budget management to maximize profitability and client satisfaction
  • Develop project scope, schedule, and budget, integrating them into work plans to streamline project execution and enhance efficiency
  • Ensure the development of high-quality engineering documents
  • Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking
  • Contribute to other project work as a technical specialist or advisor, as needed
  • Attend municipal meetings for project approvals
  • Mentor junior staff
What You Will Need
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or Landscape Architecture from an accredited university program or related discipline required
  • PE or PLA/RLA License required
  • 10+ years of experience in designing/managing land development projects
  • Thorough understanding of state and regional design standards
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Understand the planning and design process, how to prepare and organize a set of drawings, and deliverables that typically are associated with each phase of design
    • Accountable for full project deliverables
  • A track record for adhering to design budgets and schedules
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the State of Connecticut Pay Transparency Laws. See below links. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on numerous factors, including but not limited to individual education, qualifications, prior work experience, and geographic location. The total annual compensation package will consist of a base salary, overtime, and bonuses.
