HSS is currently seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to support our national team in the Orlando, TX region.


The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities within the hospitality industry. This role focuses on acquiring new clients, expanding market share, and positioning Hospitality Staffing Solutions (HSS) as a preferred workforce partner.


The BDM manages the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through proposals, negotiations, and implementation—while partnering with Recruiting, Operations, and Account Management to deliver an exceptional customer experience.


Duties and Responsibilities

Market Research & Territory Development

  • Identify hospitality trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
  • Develop strategic target accounts within assigned markets.
  • Prioritize high-value prospects and territory growth opportunities.

Prospecting & Lead Generation

  • Generate leads through calls, networking, referrals, email, social selling, and events.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery conversations to identify client workforce needs.
  • Document sales activity and opportunities in Salesforce CRM.

Business Development Strategy

  • Execute sales strategies to achieve individual and regional goals.
  • Focus daily activities on new client acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Partner with sales leadership to identify growth opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build relationships with hospitality executives and key decision-makers.
  • Understand client challenges and recommend customized workforce solutions.
  • Develop long-term partnerships that support retention and growth.

Consultative Sales & Contract Negotiation

  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting through signed agreements.
  • Present HSS solutions, pricing, capabilities, and service advantages.
  • Coordinate with Recruiting and Operations for successful implementation.

Strategic Account Growth

  • Expand existing accounts through additional services and locations.
  • Develop relationships with ownership groups and management companies.
  • Identify new properties, developments, and market opportunities.

Performance & Pipeline Management

  • Maintain accurate opportunities and forecasts in Salesforce CRM.
  • Track prospecting, meetings, proposals, contracts, and revenue.
  • Provide pipeline and territory updates to sales leadership.
  • Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience preferred.
  • Staffing, hospitality, workforce solutions, or service-industry experience preferred.
  • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Strong prospecting, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Experience managing the complete sales cycle.
  • Ability to build relationships with executive-level decision-makers.
  • Hospitality industry knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned territory.


Compensation

The pay range for this position is $80,000 - $85000. This range represents the minimum and maximum pay that Hospitality Staffing Solutions reasonably and in good faith believes it will pay for this role at the time of posting.

Additional Compensation

This position may also be eligible for:

- Commissions / Bonus eligible

- Expenses covered for Work Related Travel
