What are Home Based Robotic Simulation Engineers?

Home Based Robotic Simulation Engineers are professionals who design, develop, and test robotic systems using simulation software, all while working remotely from their homes. They create virtual models of robotic equipment or processes to analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize designs before actual implementation. This role typically involves using specialized simulation tools, collaborating with cross-functional teams online, and ensuring that robotic solutions meet technical and operational requirements.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Home Based Robotic Simulation Engineer, and why are they important?

A Home Based Robotic Simulation Engineer typically requires a background in robotics, computer science, or engineering, with strong programming skills in languages such as Python or C++. Familiarity with simulation tools like ROS (Robot Operating System), Gazebo, or MATLAB Simulink, and relevant certifications in robotics or automation are highly valued. Excellent problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and effective remote communication skills help individuals excel in a virtual work environment. These competencies are crucial for developing accurate robotic simulations, collaborating with remote teams, and delivering innovative automation solutions.

How does a Home Based Robotic Simulation Engineer typically collaborate with on-site engineering teams and clients?

A Home Based Robotic Simulation Engineer often works remotely but remains highly connected to both on-site engineering teams and clients through regular video meetings, screen sharing, and collaborative project management tools. They contribute by developing and testing robotic simulations, then sharing results and updates for review and feedback. Effective communication and documentation are crucial, as is the ability to troubleshoot issues remotely and align with the broader project goals. This collaborative approach ensures that simulation models are accurate and meet client specifications, while also supporting seamless integration with physical robotics systems.

Job description

NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It's a unique legacy of innovation that's fueled by great technology-and amazing people. Today, we're tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what's never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world's best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you'll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.

NVIDIA Omniverse has become the platform where the next generation of AI-powered, physically accurate virtual worlds and industrial digitalization applications are being built. From large-scale digital twins and robotic simulation to synthetic data generation, autonomous systems, and real-time 3D collaboration, the demand for advanced simulation, visualization, and AI-enabled workflows is exploding, and NVIDIA is at the center of this transformation. Omniverse brings together RTX rendering, simulation, AI, and OpenUSD-based workflows to help developers, designers, and enterprises build connected, intelligent 3D pipelines. We work across industries, software ecosystems, cloud platforms, and hardware systems to make Omniverse the foundation for crafting, testing, and deploying the next era of physical AI, robotics, and industrial applications. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Omniverse Technical Marketing Engineer who can move and adapt quickly to changing needs!

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own the planning, creation, and execution of developer-facing technical materials for NVIDIA Omniverse libraries, SDKs, and APIs, helping developers discover, evaluate, integrate, and build with Omniverse technologies.

  • Build technical demos, sample workflows, tutorials, documentation, blogs, videos, and product launch collateral that show developers how to use Omniverse libraries for Physical AI workflows in robotics, autonomous vehicles, simulation, rendering, AI-enabled pipelines, and industrial digitalization.

  • Translate product capabilities and engineering details into clear technical narratives, references architectures, and hands-on content.

  • Identify and address gaps in the developer journey, from library discovery and onboarding to evaluation, integration, and production adoption.

  • Maintain a strong understanding of the developer ecosystem, computing platforms, emerging 3D technologies in simulation, rendering, OpenUSD, and AI workflows to inform content strategy.

What We Need To See:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computational Science, Design Technology, 3D Graphics, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience in technical marketing, developer relations, solutions engineering, product management, software engineering, or a similar technical role.

  • Hands-on experience with real-time 3D workflows, developer libraries, SDKs, APIs, simulation, rendering, or digital twin technologies.

  • Familiarity with OpenUSD, 3D application pipelines, Omniverse, robotics simulation, synthetic data generation, or industrial visualization workflows.

  • Strong technical communication skills, with the ability to translate complex platform capabilities into clear value propositions for developers, partners, customers, and internal collaborators.

  • Ability to build demos, technical content, tutorials, reference workflows, or enablement materials that help users understand and adopt new technologies.

  • Strong project ownership, with the ability to lead multiple priorities, collaborate across engineering, product, marketing, and sales teams, and drive work forward in a fast-moving environment.

Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:

  • Hands-on experience with Linux-based development environments, scripting, and technical workflows.

  • Curiosity and drive to experiment with NVIDIA's latest Omniverse, OpenUSD, simulation, rendering, and AI technologies as both a power user and technical storyteller.

  • Prior experience in Technical Marketing, Developer Relations, Solutions Engineering, or Product Marketing for enterprise software, developer platforms, or technical products.

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflows, generative AI tools, synthetic data, robotics simulation, or industrial digitalization use cases.

  • Experience building compelling technical demos, sample applications, tutorials, blogs, or enablement content for developer or enterprise audiences.
