The Northrop GrummanSkillBridge Programis an approved SkillBridge Program under Dept. of Defense Instruction 1322.29. Theprogram is an opportunity for service memberspreparing for civilian careersto gain valuable civilian work experience during their last 6 months of service, for up to 180 days.TheSkillBridgeProgram is open to all ranks and experience levels.SkillBridge participants are not eligible for compensation from Northrop Grumman, as they continue to receive military compensation and benefits as active-duty service members.
Responsibilities forSkillBridge Program participationare:
Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC) has developed the Northrop Grumman -SkillBridge Program(SkillBridge)utilizingthe DoDI guidance forSkillBridge.Through this program, the service-member will work on site with their host company, gaining experience in an entry to mid-level career path. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals,Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.
Goals-Provide separating service-members with job skills training in a professional setting during the final phase of their military service.This program is specifically designed to offerhands-onexperiencethat result in the potential toconvertto a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training.Participantswill serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.
Objectives- Service Members who complete theSkillBridgeprogram will behighly trained, capable, future employees that align to the specific needs of the organization and are prepared to meet the NG mission "Defining Possible" on Day 1. This program providescomprehensivehands-onexperience including professional development, networking with leadership, and training specifically focused on NG leadership principles, company history, customer/stakeholder engagement, product and service overview, and core job responsibilities.
Outcome- Offerservice-members preparing for civilian careersa rewarding opportunity to join the Northrop Grumman team.
SkillBridgeEligibility:
Has served at least 180 days on active duty
Is within12 monthsof separation or retirement
Will receive an honorable discharge
Has taken any service TAPS/TGPS
Has attended orparticipatedin an ethics brief within the last 12 months
Received Unit Commander(first O-4/Field Grade commander in chain of command)written authorization and approval toparticipateinSkillBridge Program prior to start of internship.

We're looking for you to join our team as a Principal Program Cost Control Analyst (PCA) based out of San Diego, CA. This is a full-time onsite position that offers the 9/80 schedule.
What You'll Get to Do
The PCA will support the Navigation, Intelligence, & Connectivity Division. The analyst will be partnering with key program stakeholders to create & analyze reports, work on invoicing opportunities and assist with monthly/quarterly tasks such as EACs, IPRS and Financial Forecasts.
The PCA will interface with the program managers, functional management, cost account managers (CAMs) and business managers to provide financial support and analysis to meet program requirements. They will prepare budgets and schedules for contract work and assist in financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, cash forecasting, and variance analysis.
The PCA will monitor costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control system. This will include performing perform Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks such as Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) development, budget baseline, cost risk analysis/ assessment and visibility reports, development, and analysis of estimates to complete.
The PCA will perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines, including maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government.
The PCA will support audits and reviews as requested by programs, customers, and company management, support Annual Operating Plan, Resource Plan, and Long Range Strategic Plan activity, and prepare financial inputs to internal reports and presentations (IPRS, Dashboards, BARs, Etc.)
Basic Qualifications
Associates degree with 7 years of related experience - OR - Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree with 3 years of related professional experience
Will consider 9 years of applied experience in lieu of degree requirement.
Experience with Earned Value Management
Experience with financial systems including cost performance reporting and analysis
Strong PC skills - specifically Excel proficiency (including pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting)
Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret level clearance.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration or related field
Experience with COBRA, COGNOS, SAP
Current, active DoD Secret security clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
