Inventory Control & Cost Analyst

Join a growth minded, family owned manufacturer, focus on building benchmark and custom Industrial Electronical Mechanical Water Treatment, Food Processing, and Food & Beverage equipment. We specialize in creating solutions for industries that make a tangible difference in the world. Our company thrives on integrity, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to quality. We’re looking for a hands-on, self-driven individual to play a crucial role in our finance and manufacturing teams, overseeing inventory control and cost analysis.

The Inventory Control & Cost Analyst is a vital role within our manufacturing operations. This mid-to-senior level position is ideal for someone with a solid background in cost accounting, inventory management, and manufacturing processes. You’ll be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and optimizing our product costs while ensuring inventory levels are accurate and aligned with production needs. A passion for data-driven decision-making and process improvement will be essential in succeeding in this role.

If you thrive in a dynamic, family-owned environment where your contributions directly impact company success, this is an exciting opportunity to grow with a stable, respected company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Accounting & Analysis:
  • Analyze and control product costs, including direct and indirect costs, labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Monitor cost variances and recommend adjustments to improve profitability.
  • Work with the finance team to provide accurate cost analysis reports to management.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) Management:
  • Develop, maintain, and update BOMs to ensure that product costs reflect the actual materials, labor, and overhead.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize BOMs for cost-efficiency and manufacturing accuracy.
  • Inventory Control & Management:
  • Oversee and ensure accuracy in inventory levels for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory discrepancies and optimize stock levels, aligning with production schedules.
  • Manufacturing Costing & Bidding:
  • Assist in cost estimation for new bids and projects, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
  • Support the preparation of cost structures for custom-built products, collaborating with sales and production teams.
  • ERP Systems & Reporting:
  • Utilize ERP software (preferably EpiCore, JobScope, or similar) to manage and report on inventory and costing data.
  • Generate and analyze reports for cost control, manufacturing performance, and inventory accuracy.
  • Work with the IT department to enhance ERP system usage for optimal cost control and data management.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within the manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Work alongside the management team to continuously streamline processes, enhance accuracy, and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in cost accounting, inventory control, and manufacturing cost analysis (preferably within a manufacturing environment).
  • Hands-on experience with Bill of Materials (BOM) creation, cost variance analysis, and cost accounting methods.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems (experience with EpiCore, JobScope, or similar software is preferred).
  • Proficient in Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, family-owned environment with hands-on involvement in daily operations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple teams.
  • Experience in bidding and cost estimation for manufacturing projects is a plus.
  • High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.
  • A passion for problem-solving and driving efficiency.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a legacy of success and growth.
  • Work in a family-oriented culture where your contributions truly matter.
  • Collaborate with a talented team of professionals committed to quality and innovation.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.

If you are a highly motivated, hands-on professional with a passion for cost control and manufacturing processes, we want to hear from you! Apply today and take the next step in your career with a trusted industry leader.
