The Saginaw Spirit are an ice hockey team based in Mid-Michigan and members of the Ontario Hockey League. We are committed to excellence both on and off the ice, and have been providing the Great Lakes Bay Region are with world-class sports entertainment since 2002.

Job Description
We are always looking for dedicated people to match the spirit our players exhibit on the ice. Currently, we offer a number of Internship positions for anyone looking to start a career in sports entertainment. Some of our internships include:
  • Saginaw Spirit Communications Internship
    • Provides in-game content on social media, written game previews, post-game recaps and other Communication and Public Relations duties
  • Saginaw Spirit Game Day Operations Internship
    • Assists in the coordination and production of promotional entertainment, such as intermission activities, game day giveaways, and other guest services
  • Saginaw Spirit Ticketing and Merchandise Internship
    • Assists with the day-to-day ticketing and merchandising operations, including online, window, and phone ticket orders
  • Saginaw Spirit Hockey Operations Internship
    • Responsible for assisting with team video production and statistical complications during home and select away games.

Note: These are unpaid positions that may be used to earn college credit.
Job Requirements
  • Must be student at accredited college or university
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Display exceptional customer service skills, with friendly and outgoing personality
  • Ice skating abilities are not required but are preferred
  • Proficiency in writing (AP style), listening, and following direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
