The Wabash College History Department invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in Medieval history to begin July 1, 2027, at the rank of Assistant Professor. A Ph.D. in History or a related field is required by the start date. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching and research in an undergraduate liberal arts setting. Teaching responsibilities consist of three courses per semester, including introductory world history courses, all-college courses, and advanced courses in non-Atlantic regional history, such as the Middle East, North Africa, or other related regions.
The History Department at Wabash College currently offers courses in World, U.S., Latin American, and European history. This position is intended to extend the department’s coverage of medieval and non-Atlantic history while expanding the range of topics currently offered in advanced courses and seminars for majors and minors.
