Highlights:

Summary: The Supervisor, Histology shall provide technical expertise, decision making, and problem solving skills based on in-depth knowledge of histologic techniques, principles, instruments, and their relationships. Additionally, this individual shall supervise Histology Technologists, Histology Technicians, Histology Assistants, & Medical Laboratory Technologists working in the Histology department. The Supervisors shall assign tasks and perform procedures accurately and efficiently to provide timely and courteous service to patients, physicians, and hospital staff. This position may have additional duties assigned assigned that are within scope of the role.Education / Experience: Bachelor's degree in Biology or Chemistry. Histological laboratory training culminating in national certification, and 4 years experience in a clinical laboratory.License / Certification: ASCP Histology (HT) or Cytologist (CT) requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to work from broad directions and be self motivated.
• Ability to prioritize workload to achieve maximum efficiency.
• Ability to effectively communicate with people of various backgrounds throughout the organization.
• Ability to provide a positive customer service experience to guest, visitors, and patients.
• Knowledge of HIPAA standards and regulations.
