Job description:
Crawfish Cafe is looking for a Kitchen Manager who can effectively control kitchen tasks, budget, and manage kitchen operations.

Crawfish Cafe originated out of Houston Texas and is a Vietnamese Cajun Seafood restaurant that has been featured in numerous Houston publications recognizing us for our delicious sauce blends tossed in the seafood of your choice.
Kitchen Manager Responsibilities:
  • Supervising and overseeing the production and preparation of food in a manner consistent with established recipes, procedures, and restaurant standards.
  • In conjunction with all Management, enforcing compliance with all employment policies and overseeing cleanliness of restaurant and safety of guests and team at all times.
  • Managing performance of Back of House employees, including conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline Assisting with the development of all Key Hourly employees by providing daily feedback on performance during one- on-ones.
  • Overseeing the proper handling, maintenance, and storage of all items.
  • Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures.
  • Directing work for kitchen employees, including setting hours and weekly schedules and assigning tasks before, during and after open hours of the restaurant.
  • Training Back of House staff on equipment maintenance and cleaning procedures.
  • Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring to hire Back of House employees.
  • Creating a safe, fun, and clean work environment for the staff in a manner consistent with our core values and operational goals.

Job Requirements: Qualifications & Ethic
  • Minimum 5 years of restaurant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high volume and fast-paced environment.
  • Food Manager Certificate
  • Being able to lift 50lbs or more
  • Basic math skill Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Bilingual - English Speaking & Reading with Spanish Speaking ability preferred but not required
  • Available to work 55-60 hours per week including weekends

Work Location: In person
