To be considered, candidates must:
  • At least 21 years old and a U.S. Citizen

  • A high school graduate or have a GED; Qualified applicants with a college degree may receive enhanced compensation.

  • A minimum of two (2) years or more of certified law enforcement experience in South Carolina. SRO certification is highly desirable. Qualified applicants with certified law enforcement may receive enhanced compensation.
  • A valid South Carolina licensed driver; or the ability to obtain a South Carolina driver's license.
  • Honorably discharged from the military (if applicable).
  • Have no pending cases or criminal felony convictions (misdemeanors may require expungement).
  • No THC or Marijuana use within 365 days; some drugs are automatic disqualifiers.
  • No student loans in default status.
  • No criminal convictions
