About Town School: Town School for Boys is a K-8 all-boys independent school located in San Francisco with approximately 415 students, of whom 50% come from self-identified families of color, and a faculty: student ratio of 1:6. Position Description:

  • Town School for Boys seeks a part-time Level 1 support technician to support the Technology Team during peak morning hours of operation from 7:30-10:30 AM.
  • The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent communication skills and the ability to learn and adapt to technical challenges quickly.
  • Ultimately, we are most interested in finding the best candidate for the job, and that candidate may be one who comes from a less traditional background. We would encourage you to apply, even if you don’t believe you meet every one of our qualifications described.

Duties and Responsibilities of the job include:

  • Provide technical support to staff, faculty, and students
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Mac OSX, iOS, and Chrome devices and printers, and other peripherals
  • Support administration and faculty with AV setup and troubleshooting
  • Maintain inventory of department repairs and equipment loans
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Frequently lift up to 30 lb. of computer equipment.
  • Crawl under or around furniture to adjust computer equipment.
  • Climb ladders and reach to adjust computer wiring and perform other tasks.
