The Rental Coordinator is primarily responsible for the accurate tracking and management of all inventory entering and exiting the 4Rivers Equipment yard. This position assists the Rental Manager by communicating inventory updates on a regular basis. This position is a “hybrid” position; 60% outside duties, 40% indoor duties. Essential Duties Track and account for all inventory on site Mark all inventory with stock numbers Prepare whole goods release form for inventory leaving the yard Complete whole goods release form for inventory being returned Receive new, used, and consignment inventory (unload trucks) and complete associated paperwork Maintain knowledge of the inventory status (shop, stock, etc) Assess and ensure readiness of inventory to perform. Initiate service requests if needed Handle rental phone calls when rental manager is unavailable Maintain a neat, organized, presentable yard Interact with customers in a professional manner Coordinate with the Parts and Service departments to maintain inventory in good working order and to communicate customer, Rental Department, or Sales Department needs Education and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record; CDL preferred but not required Experience with heavy equipment preferred but not required (will train as needed) Strong communication and organizational skills Able to shift focus and re-prioritize quickly Basic math skills Basic computer skills (Excel and Word) Physical Effort: Rental Coordinators must be able to work outside in extreme weather conditions. They must be able to move on/under heavy equipment, able to move objects weighing up to 50 pounds and must also be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day. Working Conditions: Rental Coordinators deal with hazards from electrical, mechanical and power equipment as well as a variety of chemicals. Rental Coordinators frequently must work in adverse weather conditions as well where they face risk of exposure to dust, dirt, mists, fumes, and non-continuous noises of varying sound levels and intensities. 4Rivers Equipment is an equal opportunity employer.
