Job description

SUPERVISION: Under the direct supervision of the Chief Executive Officer
LOCATION: Carl T. Curtis Health Education Center- Clinic
SUMMARY: The Healthcare QA Manger is responsible for ensuring that healthcare services meet quality standards and patient safety. This role involves monitoring and evaluating the standard of care provided by healthcare practitioners, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. The QA Manager works closely with the healthcare teams, patients, and stakeholders to assess and analyze data, develop policies and procedures, conduct audits, and provide education and training. They must possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of clinical practices and healthcare regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
  • Review and maintain quality standards of healthcare services to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop quality assurance plans
  • Conduct audits and analyze patient data to enhance patient care and compliance
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to collect and analyze performance data
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management and the healthcare team
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery processes to identify areas of improvement
  • Develop, implement, and maintain thorough quality assurance programs, policies, and procedures that align with Carl T. Curtis Health Education objectives and standards
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses, providers, and administrators, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Conduct comprehensive audits on medical records, patient charts, and healthcare documentation to assess accuracy and adherence to protocols
  • Analyze data and compile reports on quality indicators, trends, and performance metrics to identify potential areas for enhancement
  • Assist in the investigation of complaints, incidents, and adverse events, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Provider education and training to healthcare staff on quality improvement processes and methodologies
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and committees focused on quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, research, and advancements in quality assurance practices to promote continuous improvement

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • 2 - 5 years of relevant healthcare facility experience
  • At least 3 years in quality assurance, risk management, or leadership role preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with data tracking and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Experience in quality improvement, data analysis, compliance, or related roles preferred
  • Experience with regulatory and accreditation standards relevant to a Healthcare facility preferred
  • 10 years of verifiable healthcare management experience (DON Level or Higher)

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND/OR REGISTRATIONS:
  • Nursing degree preferred
  • Goal to obtain a certification in one or more:
    • Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
    • Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)
    • Certified Professional in Human Factors in Health Care (CPHIFH)
    • Certified Professional in Age-Friendly Health Care (CPAFH)
    • Certified Professional in Clinical Health Equity (CPCHE)
    • Certified Professional in Health Care Risk Management (CPHRM)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR ABILITIES:
