Your combination of people skills and system administrator expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. We’re looking for a system administrator with experience supporting enterprise UNIX and Windows environments in a Tier 1 and Tier 2 capacity to help us maintain and enhance secure infrastructure environments supporting federal mission operations.

As a system administrator on our project, you’ll support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems; manage day-to-day system operations; monitor infrastructure health; and apply patches and updates to maintain system security and performance. You’ll provide your customers insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.

Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.

You Have: 

  • 10+ years of experience providing implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for enterprise IT systems 
  • 10+ years of experience supporting Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution in client/server environments
  • Experience administering and maintaining UNIX and Windows operating systems in enterprise environments 
  • Experience managing day-to-day IT system operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for client, server, storage, and network devices
  • Knowledge of system performance optimization and capacity planning principles
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex IT system issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate technical status and issue resolution updates to management and internal stakeholders
  • TS/SCI with a polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Cyber Security and 10+ years of experience in systems administration or HS Diploma or GED and 15+ years of experience in systems administration

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience supporting dispatch systems and hardware lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of network components and enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Ability to support cross-functional collaboration with engineering, operations, and support teams
  • Possession of strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Clearance:  

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph is required. 

Compensation at EverWatch is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69.72 to $79.33 per hour.  The estimate displayed represents the typical compensation range for this position and is just one component of EverWatch’s total compensation package for employees.
