Job description

Title: Health Insurance Sales Reps

Location: Onsite - Bloomington, MN

Duration: 4 - 6 months (possible extensions)

Shift: Monday - Friday: flexible shift (hours between 8am - 8pm)

Compensation: $22 -$25 (depending on education and experience) up to 8k bonuses at the end of the seasonย 

Interview process: One round virtual interview

Must haves

  • Registered Health Insurance Agent- Active insurance license in MN
  • Consultativeย salesย experience working in the health insurance industry
  • Excellent customer service, computer and telephonic skills

Plusses

  • Experience selling Medicare insurance is a HUGE plus
  • Experience at competing insurance companies
  • Call center experience
  • AHIP certified

Day to day

In this fast-paced position, you will respond to calls from members and prospective members, answering questions regarding purchasing or changing health plan coverage for individuals and families/Medicare, and helping them choose which insurance plan is right for them. You will be both taking inbound calls and making outbound calls using a headset. As a consultativeย salesย representative, you will be expected to identify health coverage needs, present and sell appropriate plan options, and actively enroll prospective members. You'll take 20-30 unscripted calls a day during open enrollment, sometimes up to 45 minutes each. Your role is to find out what is important to the consumer ("Why are you calling? What's wrong with your current coverage?" "Here is what doctor would be in network, a quote of how much it'd be").

  • Assist with incoming prospective member calls regarding Medicare or Individual Commercial Products
  • Determine coverage needs in a prompt, professional and customer friendly manner.
  • Proactively recommend appropriate health plan coverage options and create coverage proposals.
  • Follow up by phone with potential applicants to answer additional questions.
  • Follow HealthPartnersโ€™ procedures for documenting conversations and tracking contacts in CRM system.
  • Comply with all Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), State of Minnesota, and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Meets and exceeds specifiedย salesย goals for Medicare and/or individual product new memberย sales.
  • Meet benchmarks for call metrics (number of calls answered, average call time, etc.)
  • Schedule adherence.

Compensation

$20 to $25

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
