Education Director

Job Title: Education Director

Location: The Bronx, New York

At Beanstalk Academy, we are seeking a talented and experienced Education Director to lead several of our Bronx locations. As a leading, full-service child care and early education provider, we pride ourselves on providing a safe and nurturing childcare experience for children 0-5. Our Grow Tall With Us mission is to support and accommodate our families' needs by providing a range of services, including Early Intervention, Head Start, 3K, and after-school programs.

About the Role:

We are looking for an Education Director who possesses exceptional leadership skills, business acumen, and a passion for early childhood education. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading our education programs, managing facilities and staff, and partnering with parents to provide the best care and education for their children. Your ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and manage multiple priorities will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Management: Work with teachers to ensure that all classrooms are safe, attractive, and developmentally appropriate

  • Staffing Management: Supervise the overall program, including office manager, teachers, teaching assistants, family workers, janitors, and cook

  • Program Administration: Ensure compliance with all state and local licensing regulations

  • Parental Communication and Involvement: Familiarize parents with school policies, provide new parents with orientation, and assist parents in planning, facilitating, and coordinating services for children with disabilities and behavioral needs

Requirements:

  • NYS Certification for Early Childhood Education Birth to Grade 2 (Required)

  • F07 and S95 (Required or willing to obtain them upon hire)

  • Student Building Leadership/Student District Leadership Certification (Preferred)

  • Two years or more of teaching and supervising experience in a similar position

  • Ability to build relationships with families and staff, create a dynamic environment, and provide outstanding customer service

  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and manage multiple situations effectively

  • Familiarity with the Creative Curriculum, ECERS, and Teaching Strategies Gold

Job Details:
