Overview
Midwest Private Lending is a private lender focused on short-duration, asset-backed real estate loans for investors across Indiana and Ohio. We provide financing for fix & flip, rental (BRRR), new construction, and bridge opportunities.
We are seeking a Head of Originations to lead and scale loan production across the Midwest. This role will be responsible for building consistent deal flow, developing strong borrower and broker relationships, and establishing Midwest Private Lending as a go-to capital partner in the region.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and drive loan origination volume across Indiana and Ohio
  • Build and maintain relationships with real estate investors, brokers, and referral partners
  • Develop scalable lead generation channels (broker networks, direct outreach, local market presence)
  • Manage the full origination pipeline from initial contact through term sheet issuance
  • Partner closely with underwriting to ensure disciplined credit decisions
  • Establish competitive loan structures and pricing within the market
  • Track pipeline performance, conversion metrics, and market activity
  • Recruit and oversee additional originators as volume scales

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in real estate lending (hard money, bridge, or private lending preferred)
  • Proven ability to source and close residential investment loans
  • Strong network within Indiana and/or Ohio real estate investor communities
  • Solid understanding of loan structuring (LTV, LTC, ARV, rehab budgets)
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial, production-driven mindset
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
