Job description

We are looking for a customer service oriented Head Housekeeper / Housekeeping Supervisor to join our fun and successful team! Hiring immediately.

*2+ yrs Experience Needed in Housekeeping*

You’ll lead the Housekeeping team in creating an outstanding experience for guests, visitors, and staff by supervising and working with the Housekeeping team to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and work areas throughout the hotel are clean and looking their best!

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure high levels of quality are maintained in all areas including guest rooms, laundry, public areas, meeting space, department storage areas, work areas, etc.
  • Schedule employees, supervise and carry out laundry and housekeeping duties to achieve clean and comfortable accommodations according to brand and management requirements.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas for cleanliness and adherence to hotel/franchise and management standards.
  • Maintain a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times with team members, customers and co-workers.
  • Manage schedule cost-effectively, train staff, assign tasks, and ensure that all work responsibilities and assignments are completed satisfactorily by staff at the end of each working shift.
  • Manage inventory including ordering and service calls.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand or walk for 8 hours or entire shift and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, and work in a restrictive space/environment.
  • Must be able to climb up and down stairs, bend, stoop, or kneel regularly.
  • Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
  • Must be able to work outside if required.

Additional Requirements:

  • 2+ years of Hotel Housekeeping experience required.
  • 1+ year as Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeeping Manager, Head Housekeeper, or similar leadership experience.
  • Housekeeping, janitorial, cleaning, or similar work experience required.
  • Able to instill processes and procedures to ensure overall success in the Housekeeping department.
  • Able to manage schedules and budgets.
  • Dedication to safety.
  • Good English communication skills and positive, helpful attitude with guests and co-workers.
  • Must be dependable, on-time, with reliable transportation.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / English) helpful.
  • IHG brand hotel experience helpful.
  • HS Diploma required.
