Job description

High School Assistant Forensics Coach 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
 


  1. Has the primary goal of helping each participant achieve a fundamental level of skill, an appreciation for the value of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
  2. Works with head coach to guide individual participants in the skills necessary for excellent achievement in the activity involved.
  3. Works with head coach to schedule a regular program of practice in season.
  4. Works with the other coaches to provide that the safety condition of the facility or area in which the assigned activity is conducted at all times students are present.
  5. Works with the other coaches to enforce sportsmanship behavior at all times and establishes penalties for breech of such standards.
  6. Is responsible for supervision on all away trips (motel and bus behavior) and insuring that busses used are cleaned up at the completion of each trip.
  7. Assumes responsibility to keep coaching, training, and storage rooms clean and presentable.
  8. Works with the recruitment of students for participation.
  9. Adhere to Washakie County School District No. 1 School Board and Activities Department policies and procedures.
  10. Will be responsible for obtaining all WHSAA information through a manual or on-line; knowing the rules and regulations covering their activity as established by the Wyoming High School Activities Association and Washakie County School District No. 1 policy.
  11. Responsible for keeping First Aid/CPR certification current.
  12. Certification:  It is the employee's responsibility to maintain the proper coaching certifications throughout employment at Washakie County School District No. 1.
