Summary 

Target Solutions - A Cotton Company is currently looking for someone with carpentry skills. This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this job description. The job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities, duties and skills required for this position.

What You’ll Do
  •  Sheet rock finishing experience
  •  Experience working with metal and wood forms 
  •  Have your own hand tools
  •  Knowledge of how to use power tools
  •  Knowledge of how to properly read and understand construction plans, sketches, and blueprints
  •  Maintain Equipment Logs
  • Operate, man-lifts and forklifts as needed
Education:
  • HS Diploma 

What You Bring to the Table
  • Candidates must be willing to work at elevated heights 
  •  Framing carpenters must be able to lift and carry heavy objects, such as framing lumber, sheets of plywood and other building materials 
  •  You must also understand math functions and calculations involving fractions Framing carpenters work from sets of blueprints, and must know how to read and interpret them
  •  Building codes, on-the-job safety and basic first aid are types of skills taught through school or apprenticeship programs
  •   Ability to lift 50 lbs
  •  Ability to stand for long periods of time (4+ hours at a time)
  •  Ability to bend, squat, reach over shoulder and head consistently
  •  Ability to consistently make repetitive motion (such as cleaning rotation motion)
  •  Ability to work in hot environment
  •  Ability to work in a smoky smelling environment  
  •  Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment specific for job site such as full-face respirators, eye goggles etc.
