Position Description
This position is ideal for an individual seeking to launch their career in carpentry, providing hands-on experience and opportunities for growth. The Entry-Level Carpenter will work under the supervision of experienced professionals, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in all aspects of the trade.
Essential Function:
  • Assist in interpreting design drawings and specifications to understand project requirements.
  • Perform various tasks related to construction and remodeling projects, including demolition, framing, installation, and repairs.
  • Assist with layout work for walls, millwork, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), and other carpentry components.
  • Participate in rough framing using wood and light gauge metal framing techniques.
  • Assist in finish work, including drywall finishing, flooring installation, ceiling installation, millwork assembly, and trim work.
  • Coordinate and assist in the installation of doors, frames, windows, and hardware.
  • Develop and refine finish carpentry skills, including wood trim and cabinet installation.

Position Requirements
  • Self-motivated and dependable, with reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to navigate job sites, including stairs and elevated structures.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Functions effectively as part of a team
  • Previous experience in carpentry is preferred but not required; however, a strong interest in learning and developing carpentry skills is essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, following instructions and contributing to project goals.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on carpentry or commercial construction experience required.
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Must be ready, willing, and able to travel if/when necessary.
  • Willingness to travel if necessary.
