Responsibilities
  • Assist experienced carpenters with the installation of framing, blocking, forms, doors, and other carpentry-related tasks.
  • Measure, cut, and assemble construction materials using hand tools and power tools.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards.
  • Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials throughout the job site.
  • Assist with layout work and material preparation for carpentry projects.
  • Build and dismantle temporary structures, barriers, and job site protection as directed.
  • Help install wood, metal, and other building materials used in commercial construction.
  • Perform general construction duties including lifting, carrying, sweeping, and debris removal.
  • Follow blueprints, drawings, and instructions provided by supervisors and skilled carpenters.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and report unsafe conditions to site leadership.
  • Support project completion by performing additional carpentry and construction-related tasks as assigned.

Work Environment

This position is based on an active outdoor commercial construction site. Work will involve exposure to varying weather conditions, physical labor, and the use of hand and power tools. Typical schedules include:

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Mid Shift: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required based on project demands. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
