Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides ownership and manages full cycle physician & advanced practice provider recruitment and placement activities for their respective division or LOB. Responsible to the company at the LOB/ hospital level to lead in the identification, screening and placement of recruited and employed physicians and advanced practice providers. Building effective partnerships with hospital and operations team members is integral to success in this role.

The selected candidate must reside in the Charleston, SC area. This person will work from the division office or facility in Charleston supporting HCA Trident Hospital.

•Establishes and maintains relationships with facility CEOs, Physician Services partners and community practices

•Develops, implements, and works a recruitment plan specific to each opportunity to ensure programs, plans, policies, and procedures for recruitment, screening, selection, and placement of physicians/providers are compliant with current recruitment standards established by leadership

•Serves as communication liaison with market leadership, Physician Services, candidates and physicians

•Plans and directs activities to carry out such functions as developing sources of qualified applicants, screening applicants, scheduling and conducting interviews, and overseeing quality check processes as outlined by department for proper candidate vetting and selection, checking references and background

•Ability to negotiate financial contracts and create physician spend proformas

•Conducts activities with systems and database to maintain accurate and comprehensive files such as candidate records, internal and external reports and correspondence

•Coordinates physician’s facility/community site visits to include tours of the community(s) and housing options, meetings with market administration, key medical staff members and tours of the facility(s)

•Serves as liaison with candidate and market leadership throughout the entire recruitment lifecycle

•Interfaces with hospital CEO’s and Physician Services operations team to determine physician staffing needs

•Identifies and evaluates trends on healthcare recruitment, including location conditions, economic conditions and competitive institutions to develop innovative strategic plans to respond to these trends.

•Develops and maintains contacts with educational institutions, residency and fellowship programs and other sources of applicants

•Represents the company at association meeting and physician training programs.

•Determines Internet online recruiting strategies for attracting and recruiting candidates.

•Utilization of Salesforce/Optimum, maintaining job opportunities, candidate information, referrals, site visit activity and provider signings with a commitment to data integrity

•Maintains data on recruitment activities, applicant flow, interviews, and recruitment results to maintain accurate and comprehensive files such as candidate records, internal and external reports and correspondence.

•Responsible for engaging with embedded Residents for the purpose of data collection and retention

•Prepares and analyzes statistical reports and other data to monitor candidate flow, selection, and turnover

•Work with corporate legal department to assure adherence to guidelines, rules and regulations working under guidance and direction of VP

•Participates in the training of new staff members.

•Develops proforma for placement and responsible for contract preparation, negotiation and execution

•Builds effective working relationships with field operations and key stakeholders within the practice (i.e. Physician lead, Practice Manager, etc.). Partners with service line leaders by preparing reports, reporting out on recent recruitment activity and effectively formulating strategies for recruitment efforts in the market

•Maintains accurate and timely record keeping within Optimum to reflect current state of opportunity and candidate contact record

•Committed to managing applicant queue including both internal (i.e. teamwork referrals) and external applications (i.e. autofeed vendor applications).

•Conducts an opportunity overview to define and articulate qualified candidate selection criteria and understand the subculture of a practice in order to properly outline job description.

•Maintains frequent touchpoints with active candidates to provide best in class provider recruitment experience.

•Positively represents HCA brand and works to position organization as employer or affiliated health system of choice.

•Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement”

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent; 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
