Job description

  • Maintain medical records to ensure all documentation is current and services are being implemented as identified by Primary Care Physician and Specialist,
  • Review, update and maintain Health & Wellness Standards
  • Conduct inspections of nursing and health care standards and policies to ascertain that standards for accreditation, licensure, and certification are maintained
  • Review medical/nursing oversight for all people including pertinent records and layout/environmental conditions related to JHI.
  • Observe nursing related practices for conformance with best practices, standards and regulations;
  • Provide oversight, supervision, and training for LPN's & TME
  • Coordinate with teams compromised of professionals from various District agencies that inspect, license, and certify JHI to determine compliance with health standards.
  • Write and implement plan of corrections to answer any deficiencies cited by such agencies relative to Medical, Health & Wellness services
  • Serve as an expert resource to other professionals and management in nursing, health care, program planning, developmental, and implementation
  • Annual assessments as required by the Department Developmental Services (DDS)
  • Attend and prepare documents for annual ISP meetings and periodic review of meetings
  • Provide staff training on Health Passports, HMCP, and any other nursing related training as needed
  • Call and communicate with the pharmacy for prescription refills and concerns as needed.

  • Review monthly Physicians orders

Performs other duties as assigned and necessary for the effective operations of all program activities.
