Job Description for: Second Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for managing and overseeing all warehouse activities, ensure efficient processes and maximize warehouse productivity. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse employees, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring the quality of goods and preparing relevant documentation. The Warehouse Supervisor should possess excellent physical abilities and stamina as well as possess strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management and excellent leadership skills and the ability to delegate.

Reports To:

Warehouse General Manager/ Asst General Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Supervise and coordinate picking, staging, and loading of outbound shipments.

* Orderly stacking of product, proper loading and compliance with all regulatory agencies on all outbound shipments.

* Picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity.

*Receiving and put away of Inbound freight

* Ensure Daily workload is completed and all Parcel, LTL, and truckloads are shipped by EOD.

* Verify required inbound/outbound paperwork with drivers, ensuring that all product is properly counted.

* Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.

* Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all materials handling equipment.

* Ensure that the work schedules are correctly implemented and that jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.

* Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.

* Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.

* Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.

* Conduct operations in accordance with OSHA an MSDS standards.

* Complete all necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate fashion.

* Assure the integrity of the inventory and assist in conducting physical inventories.

*Ensure the safety and security of the facility at End of Night(lock up building)

* Other Duties and projects as assigned by General Manager/Asst General Manager

Your skills and experience

* Must have three (3) years of experience in a warehouse environment, minimum one (1) year in a supervisory role

* Experience with shipping, receiving and inventory control

*Experience with Barcoding and RF Scanning

* Successful communication - written and verbal

* Establish priorities and multi-task

* Possess professional business demeanor

* Experience with personal computers and materials handling equipment
