About the Role

As Pursuit Manager you will be responsible for growing Harman's BMW automotive business. You will engage with the customer in an early stage, identify promising business opportunities and drive these opportunities with healthy commercials to award.

What You Will Do

  • Execute the pursuit strategy for new business opportunities in alignment with the customer account strategy.
  • Identify and create new pursuits and drive early engagement activities including "war gaming" and 10 standards
  • Own RFI/RFQ response for new business opportunities and be responsible for the quote as well as for commercial sourcing negotiations with the customer
  • Advocate customer expectations internally (cost, requirements, timing) and call for a game-changing position in regard to Harman's USPs and value proposition
  • Understand customer expectations (cost, requirements, timing) and define internal targets to meet them
  • Identify key stakeholders and decision makers and develop strategies to win new business

What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • Min. 10 years of working experience in Automotive (OEM, Tier-1 or Tier2)
  • Experience or strong affinity with Harman Intelligent Cockpit portfolio, ideally with ADAS and IVI technologies
  • Thorough understanding of P&L statements, business cases and quotes
  • Strong hunting, influence and negotiation skills
  • Understanding of Automotive OEM's organization and processes
  • Fluent German and English is a pre-requisite

  • Experience within or working with BMW
