Job Title: UCC Engineer (Microsoft Teams and Crestron)

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced UCC (Unified Communications and Collaboration) Engineer specializing in Microsoft Teams and Crestron to join our team. As a UCC Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining unified communication and collaboration solutions using Microsoft Teams and Crestron technology. Your expertise in these platforms will be crucial in ensuring smooth and effective communication and collaboration across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and Architecture: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect UCC solutions based on Microsoft Teams and Crestron technology, considering business requirements and best practices.
  2. Implementation: Lead the implementation and deployment of UCC solutions, including configuring and integrating Microsoft Teams and Crestron systems.
  3. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to Microsoft Teams and Crestron systems, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations.
  4. System Administration: Perform routine system administration tasks, including user provisioning, access control, and system maintenance for Microsoft Teams and Crestron platforms.
  5. Security and Compliance: Ensure UCC systems are implemented and maintained in accordance with security standards and industry regulations, including data protection and privacy requirements.
  6. Collaboration Enhancements: Identify opportunities to optimize and enhance UCC capabilities, working closely with stakeholders to define and implement improvements.
  7. Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including system designs, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistent practices.
  8. Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Microsoft Teams and Crestron platforms, promoting adoption and maximizing the benefits of UCC technology.
  9. Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate new technologies, resolve escalated issues, and stay updated on the latest features and updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a UCC Engineer, with a focus on Microsoft Teams and Crestron platforms.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Crestron systems, including deployment, configuration, and administration.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and integration with other enterprise systems.
  • Experience with audiovisual technologies, room control systems, and AV integration is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for UCC, such as SIP, H.323, PSTN, and video conferencing codecs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and end-users.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Teams Administrator Associate, Crestron Certified Programmer, or equivalent, are a plus.
