This individual will play a pivotal role in translating conceptual designs into high-quality technical drawings that support custom audio, video, lighting, shade, climate, and security installations in luxury residential and commercial environments. You'll collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure precision and compliance with client expectations and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain CAD standards for AV, lighting, shades, climate, and security systems.
Create detailed wiring diagrams, rack elevations, and dimensional drawings for client projects.
Collaborate with Sales and Project Management teams on pre- and post-sales support.
Produce accurate As-Built plans and drawing packages for field and project teams.
Participate in project bidding by interpreting bid documents and drafting preliminary plans.
Communicate with vendors and manufacturers for technical support and product specs.
Conduct design coordination with architects, engineers, and interior designers.
Maintain and improve internal systems and drafting processes.
Attend and report on team meetings and strategic planning sessions.
Support upper management in all CAD-related tasks across departments.
Represent the company at trade shows and industry events when required.
Qualifications
5-10+ Years of Experience
Navigating a Drawing Set with Enlarged Plans, Elevation Markers, etc.
Knowing how to read an Architect's plans to quickly navigate to the information you need
Creating Enlarged Plans & Elevations
Viewport manipulation
Managing External References
Knowing the difference between Overlay & Attach
Scaling PDF References to make them accurate in size 1:1
Taking a PDF and using an object within it to accurately scale it up to real world size in Model Space
Previous Selection Command
Should be used as much as possible for efficiency
Layer Isolate
Used to clean up backgrounds or check for mistakes
Stretch
Used to quickly move objects while simultaneously stretching leader arrows for efficiency
Align Command
Used to quickly rotate, align, and even scale objects together in one action.
