Job description


Summary

The Test Engineer will be hands-on, involved with the design and development of test programs to measure the functionality and integrity of products and services.Writes test procedures and protocols to assess product reliability and evaluates the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications. Debugs test hardware and software. Ability to complete a technical project independently and supervise and train other Test Technicians. This position will work closely with the Quality and Production team to identify functional problems and develop solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible electrical testing for VSWR, Insertion Loss, Phase Matching, Time Delay, Capacitance, and Velocity of Propagation (Vp).
  • Responsible for keeping test equipment calibration is up to date.
  • Supervising and Performing In-Process and Final Testing
  • Debugs test hardware and software
  • Writes test procedures and evaluates the ability of products to meet performance standards and specifications
  • Create new software programs for new products.
  • Manage Test Data
  • Ability to provide First Pass Yield and Root Cause data
  • Manage and maintain test adapter inventory
  • Communicate clearly with manufacturing, program management, and the design engineer team as required
  • Interact with technical management, other professionals, technicians and support personnel to coordinate, recommend and confer regarding technical activities and progress
  • Evaluate supplier components, subsystems, and services for compliance to customer specifications
  • Supervision TAKT time, Productivity, Quality, and Test Schedule

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - minimum 2 years.
  • Experience in electro-mechanical testing and manufacturing (RF and/or microwave experience required)
  • Knowledge of network analyzers and spectrum analyzers
  • Experience with Visual Basic and/or C++ is a plus
  • Familiarity with wire/cable harness manufacturing (38999 experience desired)
