Job description

Distribution Specialist
Schedule:
1st shift: Mon-Fri / 7:00AM-3:00PM
A local distribution center is hiring for specialists to support warehouse operations in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. This role may involve order picking, packing, and/or receiving and sorting materials. The ideal candidate enjoys staying active, values accuracy and safety, and works well as part of a team. Depending on department placement, you may operate material handling equipment, pack parts for shipment, or receive and organize incoming materials, some tasks performed at heights up to 30 feet while wearing a full body harness.

Responsibilities:

-Pick, pack & process orders - accurately locate, select, pack, and prepare products for shipment using proper materials and dunnage
-Receive & sort materials - unload, inspect, sort, and store incoming shipments in designated warehouse locations
-Operate equipment - safely operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, and order pickers as required
-Maintain safety & organization - keep aisles clear, materials organized, and work areas clean and compliant with safety standards
-Lift, move, repeat - regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and maneuver items up to 100 lbs. while bending, squatting, reaching, and standing for extended periods
Requirements:
-Prior warehouse experience preferred (order picking, packing, receiving, or equipment operation)
-Experience operating cherry pickers, forklifts, reach trucks, or extenders preferred
-Physically able to lift, squat, stoop, bend, and reach throughout an 8-10 hour shift
-Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment
-Must be able to wear a full body harness and work at heights up to 30 feet
-Able to perform repetitive tasks, including wrist and hand movements
-Reliable transportation and strong attendance
-Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
-Steel toe shoes required
