Job description

Packaging Associate / Machine Operator


Pay: $18-22 per hour
Shifts: Day Shift: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM | Night Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour schedule with a 3-day weekend every other weekend

We are hiring dependable Packaging Associates and Machine Operators to join a growing manufacturing team in Vonore, TN. These positions support daily production, packaging, material handling, warehouse, and equipment operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Packaging Associates are encouraged to apply with little manufacturing experience. Training will be provided.

Machine Operators should have previous experience operating manufacturing, production, or packaging equipment. Machine Operator level will be determined based on skill, experience, and demonstrated ability.


Packaging Associates support production, packaging, warehouse, shipping, receiving, and material-handling activities throughout the facility.

  • Perform packaging and production duties according to established procedures.
  • Inspect products and packaging materials for quality and accuracy.
  • Load, unload, stack, package, and prepare products for shipment.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks and checking in materials.
  • Prepare orders by pulling materials, packing boxes and pallets, wrapping products, and staging completed orders.
  • Sort and organize materials on racks, shelves, or designated storage areas.


The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and manual and automated processes associated with molding and packaging production.

  • Operate and troubleshoot process control systems associated with molding and packaging operations.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure quality, productivity, efficiency, and safety goals are met.
  • Identify equipment or process issues and communicate problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Perform or assist with preventive maintenance of equipment and facility.
  • Assist with receiving materials and shipping finished production as needed.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Reliable and dependable attendance.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow safety, quality, and production procedures.
  • Ability to learn and follow equipment and process instructions.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a 12-hour shift.
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
