Full- time-Head Start Teacher, Columbiana Head Start- Columbiana, AL- Shelby County

Family Guidance Center Head Start/Early Head Start is seeking candidates for a full-time Head Start Teacher at the Columbiana Head Start Center located in Shelby County.

The Head Start Teacher is responsible for a Head Start classroom of 3- to 5-year-old children. S/he works collaboratively with an assistant teacher, family members, and other staff to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities.

Required qualifications are an Associate or Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or state awarded preschool teacher certification with experience teaching preschool aged children or BA/BS in related fields with at least six college courses in Early Childhood Education plus experience teaching preschool aged children. BA Degree is highly preferred.

All Family Guidance Center Head Start and Early Head Start employees, and all other Family Guidance Center contractors, and volunteers who regularly perform work within our Program must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be approved for a medical or religious exemption from COVID-19 vaccination as a reasonable accommodation.
