Position Overview

Sunny Square Family Guidance Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to join our team on a full-time basis. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to provide therapy and support to young adults facing mental health challenges, facilitating their journey towards healing and empowerment. Work Environment

This position is conducted in a remote setting, with the flexibility to work from home while participating in virtual team meetings and client sessions. Our outpatient office facilitates a modern, tech-friendly work environment where counselors have access to the latest tools and resources necessary to engage effectively with clients. The schedule is designed for work-life balance, allowing our counselors to work Monday through Friday, with no evening or weekend shifts required.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at our outpatient treatment center, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting group therapy sessions where you facilitate discussions and activities that promote peer support and shared learning among clients.
  • Providing individualized counseling services, helping clients explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
  • Developing goal-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with clients, ensuring that each plan addresses their specific needs and aspirations.
  • Monitoring client progress through regular assessments and feedback, utilizing various evaluation tools to track outcomes and adjust treatment as needed.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each client.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this position is primarily on young adults aged 18 to 30 who are engaged in our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP). This diverse group may be dealing with a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. You will play a critical role in helping these individuals develop coping strategies, foster resilience, and achieve their personal and therapeutic goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A valid Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in the state of Illinois.
  • A strong commitment to providing compassionate care and a genuine desire to support young adults in their mental health journey.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience in mental health treatment settings focused on young adult issues is highly preferred. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 85,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, our benefit package includes:
