JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manufacturing Process Engineer plays a key role in improving manufacturing performance by analyzing production workflows, identifying operational inefficiencies, and implementing practical process improvements across the plant. This role partners closely with operations and engineering teams to support production, resolve process challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, quality, and material flow. The position will also contribute to evaluating opportunities for equipment enhancements, manufacturing technologies, and future automation initiatives that support long-term operational growth.

In this role, you will:

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, throughput, and quality.

  • Analyze production workflows, material flow, and operational bottlenecks to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with operations leadership to identify and implement practical improvements within manufacturing processes.

  • Support the development and standardization of work processes and operating procedures.

  • Provide technical support for production processes and assist in troubleshooting operational challenges.

  • Work with production teams to improve workflow, equipment utilization, and production consistency.

  • Support layout improvements and material flow strategies that improve operational efficiency.

  • Assist with equipment evaluation, process documentation, and manufacturing best practices.

  • Participate in projects focused on improving productivity, reducing waste, and strengthening operational performance.

  • Support lean manufacturing efforts and data-driven decision making.

  • Document findings and present recommendations for process improvements.

  • Assist in identifying opportunities where technology, automation, or improved equipment could enhance operations.

  • Support long-term initiatives related to manufacturing innovation and process modernization.

  • Stay informed on emerging manufacturing technologies that may support future operational improvements.

  • Exposure to robotics, automation systems, or basic programming/controls concepts is preferred to support evaluation of future process improvements and equipment enhancements.

  • Assist in CAPEX plan and plant operating budget.

  • Performs other tasks or duties assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, process engineering, or production environments
  • Solid understanding of process knowledge for troubleshooting and developing new products
  • AutoCAD/Inventor experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth understanding of Engineering Principals
  • Effective collaboration and communication with production, maintenance, and engineering teams
  • High mechanical aptitude (hands-on)

EDUCATION:

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or related field.
