The Breakdown

Reporting into the Chief Merchandising Officer, the Go-To-Market Operations Director is responsible for leading Burton’s global GTM operating process across regions and functions. This role will own the structure, execution, communication, tools, and governance required to deliver GTM milestones efficiently and effectively across the business. This role serves as the operational linchpin connecting Merchandising, Marketing, Marketplaces, and Product across global and regional teams — ensuring alignment, accountability, and readiness throughout the GTM lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings deep GTM operational expertise, merchandising experience, strong cross-functional leadership, and lead the GTM process with scalable organizational execution from global to regions.

What You Get to Do
  • Lead and operationalize Burton’s global GTM process globally and regionally
  • Own GTM milestones, readiness processes, and execution cadences
  • Prepare, facilitate, and drive readiness meetings including agenda development, attendee management, action tracking, and follow-through
  • Plan, produce, and facilitate 2 annual, Global GTM Summits - Fall and Spring - to build alignment and energy for upcoming cycles
  • Drive efficient cross-functional coordination across Merchandising, Marketing, Marketplaces, and Product across global and regional teams
  • Partner with regional teams to deploy and implement scalable GTM processes
  • Identify process gaps and opportunities – tools, templates, operating frameworks, etc. - for continuous improvement across the GTM lifecycle
  • Responsible for guiding the implementation and integration of aligned recommendations from external contractors and consultants into the go-to-market (GTM) organization. Ensure nothing discussed in that forum sits in isolation. Identify key stakeholders responsible for institutionalizing recommendations into new processes
What You’ll Bring to The Team
  • 8+ years of experience in GTM operations, business operations, merchandising, or related function
  • Experience operating in a global, matrixed consumer brand environment
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Proven ability to build and scale operational processes and frameworks
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to influence without direct authority across functions and geographies

This is a full-time salaried role, based at our headquarters in Burlington, Vermontand will be required to be on site at least 4 days per week. We will offer relocation assistance to move to Vermont to any candidate who is hired. The hiring range for this role is $125,000-$175,000, depending on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, and available budget. Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include any potential bonus and other benefits that we offer.
