Job description

This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - Denver - Coining Division. As a Coin Production Manager, you will serve as the Chief of the Coining Division and is responsible to the Deputy Plant Manager for the administration of the entire division. The Division is responsible and accountable for the production of the Nation's circulating coinage.

Qualifications:You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Be sure all experience is documented in your resume by indicating place of employment, job title, length of time performing the duties, and the name and contact information for the supervisor. We must be able to verify this experience in your resume in order for you to receive credit.


For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience or General experience for this position includes:
-Providing management and oversight of product production; AND
-Using Lean Manufacturing techniques to manage resources, establish controls, and promote efficiencies to ensure quality products and processes; AND
-Planning and coordinating production schedules to utilize the capability of the people and capacity of the division to meet both production goals and delivery schedules.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
