The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Summary
RWJBH is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for Per Diem shifts in the Cardiac Surgery department at the New Brunswick campus. This role will be expected to rotate between ICU/Floor depending on skill level of candidate. Role includes exposure to weekend and night coverage.

Essential Functions

  • Candidate should possess effective time management and critical care skills.
  • Must be able to adapt and adjust to a large volume acute patient population.
  • Skills with procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement and chest tube placement are required.
  • Must also be accustomed to working as an autonomous provider ex: making treatment decisions and moving patient care forward.
  • Experience with POCUS is also preferred. The expectation is for the candidate to work at full extent of their license.

Education

  • Graduate from NP program with certification in Acute care, or Adult with previous critical care experience.
  • Physician Assistants need to have graduated from accredited PA program.

Experience

  • 3-6 years of critical care experience minimum

  • RN required

  • ACLS required
