Job Title: Project BuyerJob DescriptionAs a Project Buyer, you will establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, solicit bids, analyze quotations, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery time. You will work closely with management to develop profitable purchasing strategies and propose procurement solutions that deliver value and reduce risk. Your role will involve creating and maintaining procurement logs for each supported operating group project, negotiating and preparing purchase agreements and purchase orders, and ensuring supplier adherence to contractual terms and conditions, including timeliness and quality standards. Additionally, you will analyze individual markets, handle budgets, increase margins, track purchasing habits, and communicate order statuses to project teams. You will also visit project sites to better understand project team challenges and develop streamlined procurement processes.

- Track trends in purchasing habits.
- Track order status from the time of placing the order until delivery and communicate status to project teams.
- Visit project sites to better understand project team challenges.
- Develop streamlined procurement processes to be implemented.
Essential Skills- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Current driver's license.
- Knowledge of construction processes, equipment and materials, purchasing processes and procedures.
- Negotiating, organizing, planning, and communication skills.
- Strong customer service and analytical skills.
- Active listening skills and effective communication.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in supply chain, construction, and finance.
Work EnvironmentThis role offers a flexible schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. You will be working in a large, modern office with a team size varying from 1 to 7 members depending on project scope. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.69 - $43.26/hr.
