Your Role: At the Heart of the Chain

Core Duties:

Health & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety protocols andmaintaina hazard-free work environment.

  • Enforce safe working methods and behaviors within the team.

  • Conduct safety audits and operations checks.

  • Make sure everyone meets safety standards and respond quickly to requests for changes and unforeseen events.

  • Respond to emergencies asrequired.

  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness and organization.

Operations & Performance Management

  • Supervise day-to-day operations and provide feedback and ways to improve in operations (OPS).

  • Prepare andmonitorperformance reports (on-time deliveries, exceptions, etc.).

  • Review Proof of Delivery (POD) reports.

  • Monitor andmaintainstation facilities and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.

  • Implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency.

  • Manage and coordinate station staff and schedules to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates and discuss improvements and cascade any changes down the chain.

  • Conduct regular station audits and performance evaluations for staff and provide feedback to help them improve and grow in their roles.

  • Support the team and handle unforeseen events or operational challenges.

Customer Service & Relationship Management

  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise.

Staff Development & Training

  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and ensure they are up to date with company policies and procedures.

  • Mentor and support the team.

  • Plan and oversee onboarding activities for new employees to ensure a smooth transition.

Inventory & Asset Management

  • Oversee inventory levels and ensure that all materials and supplies are adequately stocked and accounted for.

  • Implement and oversee loss prevention strategies to safeguard company assets, packages, and other goods. This involves conducting regular audits, monitoring for theft or fraud, and ensuring all undelivered parcels are returned to the station at the end of the day.

  • In case of suspected theft, initiate investigations and coordinate with the Loss Prevention department and IDC relationship managers.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Maintainaccuratelogs (delivery, incident, inventory) and daily reports.

  • Perform data entry as needed tomaintainaccuraterecords.

  • Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

Ensure all operationscomply withlocal, state, and federal regulations as well as company policies.

  • Evaluate and assess employee performance,workplace conduct and compliance asrequired, including discipline whereappropriate.
