We are now looking for a Finance Director, Evac Americas, to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensure financial integrity for the legal entities. The role combines local entity-level responsibilities and active global business partnering for the Building area. You will lead a team of 4 employees responsible for transactional finance in the ENA entities (accounts receivable, accounts payable, cost accounting, payroll, intercompany reconciliations, etc.).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality and timely periodic and year-end closing and reporting.

  • Support the North America President in the effective and efficient running of the entities.

  • Monitor and control revenue, costs, cash flow, invoicing, tax compliance, and financial performance.

  • Manage budgeting and financial forecasting for the legal entities in cooperation with local and overseas business stakeholders.

  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and consistent financial controls and policies in the US and Brasil.

  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders on a global scale, acting as a trusted partner and advisor.

  • Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and addressing any issues or recommendations.

  • Monitor and ensure adequate internal controls for North American and Brazilian entities, and cooperate with Evac Group Finance on control definitions and reporting.

  • Oversee local financial and management accounting processes and reporting, including relevant IT systems used to support these processes.

  • Maintain correct accounting system setup: chart of accounts, project structure, cost allocations, sub-ledger configurations, and control accounts.

  • Handle tax filings and reporting, and provide guidance to other business functions in North and South America.

  • Act as a challenger and sparring partner for business stakeholders both in ENA and globally.

  • Motivate, mentor, and develop your team, fostering a high-performance culture where employees are empowered to grow, take ownership, and drive results.

  • Serve as an active member of the global finance team, contributing to cross-border collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement in workload distribution and best practices.

To succeed in this position, you have strong financial management experience (+10 years), preferably in an international industrial company applying the IFRS reporting practices. Additionally, we are looking for:

  • Thrives in a global matrix organisation with a proven ability to lead and influence teams across borders.

  • Hands-on approach and ability to work independently.

  • Strong analytical capabilities to interpret regulations and contracts and translate them into business procedures.

  • Preferably prior experience in M&A transactions.

  • Advanced Excel and data management skills, ERP experience, IFRS proficiency.

  • Excellent team leadership and performance management abilities.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills across all levels and locations of the business, with a collaborative mindset.

Qualifications Required

  • Higher degree education in Finance or Accounting.

  • Preference will be given to candidates with CPA or MBA designation.
