The Group Finance Manager, Marketplace will work closely with the Marketplace business team, the ISV and Channel and Marketing to influence strategic direction and business decision making to accelerate revenue growth across the MCAPS Priorities. Responsibilities
  • Marketplace Expertise
  • Act as the central finance SME for Microsoft Marketplace, provide guidance on Marketplace revenue mechanics, billing flows, and financial attribution
  • Represent Finance in executive business reviews, translating performance into clear, actionable narratives
  • Planning, Forecasting & Performance
  • Lead annual planning and quarterly forecasting, integrating pipeline signals, statistical models, and field judgment
  • Lead monthly and quarterly close reviews, focusing on key drivers, risks, and insights for leadership
  • Develop and maintain performance metrics, and variance analysis to track Marketplace health
  • Provide finance support for Marketplace aligned incentives, quotas, and compensation programs
  • Validate financial impacts and ensure alignment between sales motions, company strategy, and financial outcomes
  • Cross Functional Partnership
  • Work closely with Sales, Product Marketing , and Engineering teams to support Marketplace strategy and execution
  • Process & Tooling Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement in Marketplace finance processes, data quality, and reporting tools
  • Support new tooling, automation, and scalable reporting solutions as Marketplace evolves

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
  • 3+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 3+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • Driven, self-starter capable of effectively prioritizing and operating with a high degree of ambiguity in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to partner, build trust, and communicate with and influence leaders and business partners
  • Team player with an ability to manage across organizational boundaries, influence others and build on the work of others

Financial Analysis IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
