Job description

Responsibilities
Grind and cut tubes for front pump seal parts per customer specifications with a cellular manufacturing operation.
  • Operator processes rubber tubes by procuring tubes from staging area, setting up grinding machines, selecting proper size mandrels, and mounts of grinders.
  • Set up grinders
  • Operates multiple grinding machines process tubes to specific dimensions.
  • Removes mandrels from grinders, dismounts tubes from mandrels at completion of operations
  • Visually inspects tubes per standards
  • Prepares tubes for cutting operation by mounting on proper mandrels, paint/strip tubes as required, setting up chisel cutters, placing tubes in cutters and processing to specific dimensions
  • Utilize SPC techniques as part of the QAS system
  • Operator performs dimensional checks on the shadow graph
  • Troubleshoots, adjusts equipment, cleans and maintains equipment
Qualifications
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening as a condition of employment
  • Be able to demonstrate good attendance history
  • Computer skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent working experience
