This role typically requires basic mechanical skills, attention to detail, and on-the-job training. It's a great starting point for those interested in manufacturing and machining careers.

Will CNC machinists be replaced by AI?

CNC machinists operate computer numerical control machines that require programming, setup, and oversight. While AI and automation can handle repetitive tasks and improve efficiency, skilled CNC operators are still needed for complex setups, troubleshooting, and quality control, making complete replacement unlikely in the near term.
