Job Title: CNC Operator II
Job Description

The CNC Operator II sets up and operates CNC lathes and related machining equipment to produce hydraulic parts according to blueprint specifications. This role performs advanced machine setup, quality inspection, and routine maintenance while contributing to a safe, efficient, and collaborative machine shop environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes and related machining equipment to manufacture hydraulic components according to detailed blueprint specifications.
  • Perform advanced machine setup activities, including tool selection, insert changes, and machine offsets to meet required tolerances.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure parts are produced accurately and consistently.
  • Use gauges, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to inspect parts and verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality, efficiency, and equipment performance.
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment in optimal working condition.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail to identify defects, nonconformities, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work collaboratively in a small team environment, supporting coworkers and contributing to a positive, safety-focused culture.
  • Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
