Since 1982, Goldshield has set the bar in the fiberglass industry. Our facility is located in Decatur, Indiana, where we manufacture fiberglass parts for Fleetwood, Honda, and Daimler. Goldshield also manufactures fiberglass for school buses, emergency vehicles and heavy-duty trucks.

Cutting & Grinding - the process of cutting parts to correct size and grinding them to correct thickness.

  1. Cut/Grind must meet the following criteria:
    1. Completion of appropriate training certification
    2. Have a consistent and proven attendance record
    3. Must be able to perform all cut/grind functions at acceptable quantity and quality standards
    4. Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times; Obey all plant safety rules
    5. Practice daily a favorable working environment with all employees
    6. Properly care and maintain all tools/equipment/jigs
    7. Must be willing to do other tasks/jobs as required by management
    8. Any violation of the above mentioned guidelines will result in the loss of operators status (job level)
  2. Cut/Grind must be capable of meeting the following environmental conditions/hazards:
    1. Exposure to constant noise of 80 dB
    2. Frequent exposure to 50 ppm or less of styrene vapor
    3. Exposure of skin to resin, acetone, gun flush, catalyst and dust
