Thorgren Tool and Molding Co., Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-quality air movement components produced through plastic injection molding. We are currently seeking a dependable and motivated Material Grinder to join our production team.
Job Title: Material Grinder

The Material Grinder plays an important role in supporting manufacturing operations by collecting, sorting, grinding, and processing plastic scrap and runner material while helping maintain material accuracy, product quality, and a clean, safe work environment.Available Shift
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Responsibilities
  • Collect runner totes and scrap material from production machines throughout the facility
  • Grind plastic runner and scrap material according to company procedures
  • Verify material types before grinding to prevent contamination
  • Properly identify, label, and separate materials, barrels, totes, and storage containers
  • Transfer regrind material to designated storage locations
  • Maintain accurate production and grinding records
  • Clean grinders and the grinding area between material changes
  • Monitor grinder operation and report equipment issues
  • Assist with Machine Operator break coverage when needed
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform general housekeeping and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
Physical Requirements
