Job Summary
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Global Category Manager - Logistics & Transportation to lead sourcing and supplier strategy across a ~$272M global freight portfolio. This role is critical in driving cost competitiveness, operational excellence, and supply chain resilience across all transportation modes.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end global sourcing for logistics services (ocean, air, ground, intermodal, warehousing, and 3PL), including RFx execution, supplier selection, and contract negotiation.
  • Develop and execute category strategies that optimize cost, service, and risk while aligning with business and operational needs.
  • Build and manage strategic relationships with global carriers and logistics providers, driving performance through structured supplier management processes.
  • Monitor freight market trends, capacity, and geopolitical risks to provide actionable insights and proactive sourcing recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with global procurement policies, trade regulations, ESG standards, and contract governance requirements.
  • Partner with regional teams, sites, and cross-functional stakeholders to align logistics strategies with demand and network requirements.
  • Identify and deliver savings through total cost of ownership analysis, network optimization, and mode selection.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, including TMS optimization and procurement automation.
  • Champion sustainability through green logistics and low-carbon sourcing initiatives.

Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience in global logistics sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of multi-modal transportation and freight market dynamics.
