Job description

The Role
The Warehouse & Logistics Supervisor oversees the day to day receiving and shipping operations for Green Thumb's Ocala, FL facility, including the scheduling and tracking of incoming shipment loads and outbound product delivery appointments.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the scheduling, tracking, and distribution of incoming raw materials and packaging and all outbound product delivery appointments
  • Perform daily tasks related to routing of vehicles to various customer and company locations throughout the service area while maintaining compliance with both DOT rules and regulations and achieving a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Work closely with Fulfillment and Sales Departments to meet objectives and address service-related issues
  • Ensure company Delivery Drivers operate in compliance with all Federal, State, Local and company regulations/policies and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels by evaluating usage and communicating with Supply Chain team on a regular basis as well as manage physical inventory process
  • Plan and schedule maintenance of all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and Delivery Vehicles
  • Ensure medical cannabis waste management procedures are followed such as receipt/collection, transportation, storage, labeling, compacting, grinding, etc.
  • Assist in completing medical cannabis waste profiles, manifests, and shipping documents, and maintain waste processing records
  • Conduct employee safety training, coordinates on-the-job training for newly hired or transferred employees, and holds monthly line meetings
  • Confer with Lead Persons, Production Supervisors, and Department Managers to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments
  • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
  • Serve on various continuous improvement committees as needed. Engage with direct reports to drive continuous improvement
  • Administer company policies in a fair and consistent manner
  • Inform Operations Manager on processing and/or employee problems which may require their attention or knowledge
  • Understand and maintain compliance with all state laws and/or regulations that affect Green Thumb operations
  • Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect
  • product safety, product quality or personnel safety
  • May make decisions and perform the job responsibilities of the Operations Manager in their absence
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (and up to 100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with product.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
  • Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in a production environment, 2+ years in supervisory experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required; BS/BA preferred.
  • Experience in directing and evaluating hourly employees.
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative, and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense, and resourcefulness.
  • Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment.
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in Continuous improvement, ex. Kaizen, Gemba Walks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employees and customers.
  • Must understand and comply with the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Green Thumb.

  • Must pass any and all required background checks.
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry.
  • You must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to obtain, and maintain, state badging requirements to work in the cannabis industry (requires background check and state review).
