Love live music, great hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences? We’re looking for an energetic and personable Part-Time Server/Bartender to join us at Dizzy’s Club at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

This is an exciting part-time, on-site opportunity to work in a lively, fast-paced environment where exceptional hospitality meets world-class jazz. The ideal candidate is welcoming, professional, team-oriented, and confident providing both table and bar service while creating a memorable experience for every guest. This position requires evening availability, including late nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Service

  • Provide warm, attentive, and professional service to all guests.
  • Welcome guests, answer menu questions, and make food and beverage recommendations.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
  • Maintain a polished and professional presence throughout each shift.

Food & Beverage Service

  • Serve food, cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to established service standards.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, beverages, and daily specials.
  • Accurately enter orders and process guest payments using the POS system.
  • Follow all responsible alcohol service requirements and procedures.

Bar & Service Support

  • Assist with bar setup, service, restocking, and breakdown as assigned.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of glassware, beverages, garnishes, and service supplies.
  • Keep tables, service stations, and bar areas clean, organized, and guest-ready.
  • Assist fellow team members during high-volume service periods.

Teamwork & Standards

  • Work collaboratively with bartenders, servers, culinary staff, management, and other team members.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
  • Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
  • Help maintain the high level of hospitality expected at Dizzy’s Club.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of previous serving and bartending experience within the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume restaurant, entertainment venue, or upscale hospitality environment is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and responsible alcohol service.
  • TIPS certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest-service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional, dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
  • Must be available to work a flexible part-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, bend, stand, reach, perform repetitive tasks, and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.

Base salary: $11.35 per hour + tips.
Benefits: Unpaid Safe & Sick Time and accrued Paid Safe & Sick Time.
