Position Summary:
The DNC seeks an experienced fundraiser with a background in digital fundraising and direct marketing to help lead one of the largest grassroots fundraising programs in politics. The ideal candidate for this role has 4-6 years of experience leading grassroots fundraising programs; setting and reaching ambitious fundraising goals; and managing teams of strategists across multiple disciplines. In addition to driving revenue growth, this role will foster an organization-wide culture of fundraising by partnering with program and leadership teams to integrate donor engagement into planning, program design, and external representation.
The Democratic National Committee's mobilization team is composed of passionate, cross-discipline experts who are committed to inspiring grassroots supporters to engage with the Party through creative, optimized experiences - both online and offline.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategy for and direct one of the largest integrated direct mail, telemarketing and digital fundraising programs in Democratic politics.
  • Generate program strategy that empowers grassroots donors to engage with the Democratic Party in meaningful ways.
  • Lead a dedicated team of dozens of fundraising specialists across multiple disciplines, ensuring staff feel supported / are growing // Make sure your managers are thriving and empowered to support their teams.
  • Work across Mobilization, Analytics, and Major Donor departments to set fundraising goals, and work closely with Analytics to ensure those goals are measured and achieved.
  • Meticulously track department cashflow across all channels in coordination with DNC's Budget and Operations teams, including tracking projected and actual cashflow.
  • Work closely with and report up to key senior stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience leading data-driven grassroots fundraising programs and reaching fundraising goals.
  • Technical and hands-on experience running mail, email, or digital ads programs.
  • Experience communicating with organizational leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and can juggle multiple projects, without losing sight of the big picture.
  • You love figuring out processes for teams to produce high-quality, impactful work.
  • Experience managing consultants and vendors, as well as navigating contract negotiations.
  • Experience and comfort managing large teams.
  • Experience with complex budgets, including cash flow and expense projections.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.

Salary: The starting salary for the Grassroots Fundraising Director position is $125,000.00, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.
