Graphic Designer 4730 N Service Dr, Winona, MN 55987 HEADP Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 8:00am - 5:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Graphic Designer, you will design a variety of print and electronic media to support marketing initiatives and campaigns. This position requires you to work on multiple projects at once with tight deadlines. The type of projects can range from flyers and catalogs to tradeshow booths and website design. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Working primarily on the MAC platform to create and prepare digital artwork for a variety of media including print, web and video o Working with the Graphics Manager, Art Director, other designers and marketing coordinators to uphold design standards of the Fastenal Brand o Collaborating with Marketing coordinators to develop new creative messages and designs that support marketing initiatives o Maintaining organization of digital and physical files throughout the production process REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o 18 years of age or older o Possess or are working towards a Graphic Design or related Business degree OR have at least two years of relevant work experience in a creative environment o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite and have expert knowledge in Adobe CS, primarily InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator o Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of graphic design standards plus typography, layout production and prepress standards o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment with short lead times o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Experience working with HTML, CSS, and OSX ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
